Student Visionaries of the Year
The Indianapolis Student Visionaries of the Year 2024 campaign concluded on March 8 with a fantastic Grand Finale celebration at the Crane Bay Event Center in downtown Indianapolis!
At the end of the evening, the class of 16 candidate teams had raised over $617,000 for the mission of LLS!
The tri-candidate team of Annie Baxter, Caroline Held, and Charlie Miller, called TKO Cancer, from Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School, was named 2024 Indianapolis Student Visionary of the Year winner and broke the record for SVOY team fundraising in Indiana!
Anna Wilson, from Fishers High School, with her Team HemoHeroes was runner-up and Emerson Zink from Cathedral High School was the third-place fundraiser.
Additionally, Natasha Nair from Avon High School received the LLS Mission Award for Policy and Advocacy. The team of Lola Lomax and Lucy Lake from Bishop Chatard High School, called Team L&L for LLS, received the Mission Award for Patient Education and Support, and Anna Wilson from Fishers High School received the Mission Award for Research.

At the Grand Finale, over 350 parents, team members, and other supporters enjoyed fun activities like a 360 photo booth, race car simulator, and basketball pop-a-shot before the inspirational ceremony marking the official end of the campaign. The night wrapped up with a rockin’ after party featuring popular Indy band My Yellow Rickshaw.
Funds raised by the students support lifesaving blood cancer research around the world, free information and support services to blood cancer patients, and advocacy for quality, affordable, coordinated patient care.
