Maddy is a bright, funny, and friendly 15-year-old girl who loves tennis, hanging out with friends, and drawing her own cartoon characters. In September of 2022, she began experiencing unexplained aches and pains in her body and after several tests was diagnosed with B-Cell ALL. She began chemotherapy immediately and had several side effects that caused her to have to stay in the hospital for 6 weeks. She ended up back in the hospital a couple of other times due to other side effects. This past August she began the maintenance phase of chemotherapy which will last an additional two years. Maddy has such a positive outlook and fighting spirit, and we are so happy to have her as our honored hero!
