Meet Our Honored Hero

Students of the Year Boston is excited to introduce our 2019 Honored Hero, Jaden Doher!

Jaden is an 8th grader at The Bromfield School. She is active in basketball, soccer and drama.

Last December, Jaden was diagnosed with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She is scheduled to continue active treatment for one more year. Despite everything Jaden has such a positive attitude and embraces each day with a smile. Her family often refers to her as their own super hero.

Jaden, you are such an inspiration to us all and we're so excited to welcome you to our LLS family!

Honored Hero

Noah

Noah is Virginia's 2019 Honored Hero.

Noah was diagnosed with high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia on May 11, 2016, and will be in active treatment until September of 2019.  Over the course of the past two-and-a-half years, he has had many hospitals stays, blood transfusions, platelet transfusions, and weekly visits to clinic.  Today, Noah is a smiling 5th grader, spending more days in school than out and playing baseball and basketball when he is well enough to do so.  He takes a daily chemotherapy medication and still has frequent clinic visits, but he is getting better and staying positive.
